Sweeter

Saying gracious words at the right time strengthens the fabric of friendship.

A sage wisely wrote (Proverbs 16:24) “Gracious words are like a honeycomb, sweetness to the soul and health to the body.”

Upon waking up on the morning of my 81st birthday Carol whispered me to while still in bed “I’m glad you were born.” What a way to start a day and another year!

Another wise leader, Paul, wrote to his community “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” (Ephesians 4:29)

“Helpful for building others up according to their needs … to benefit” adds health to body and soul. Good wisdom for a Monday morning to start a week.
