I write because it seems right to me.
A bit of background,
I’m 81 and retired. In previous years I was a campus minister at LSU, George Mason University, and Lewis University. Then I moved on to working in a non-profit aimed at working with men who appreciated the value of wisdom in their lives. Recently I worked in local (northern Illinois) high schools with students, both teaching and coaching.
The common element mentioned as needed and valued was wisdom.
Hence, this blog.
The Book of Proverbs sets the foundation for this blog.
The purpose of proverbs:
- Teach people wisdom and discipline (1.2a)
- Help them understand the insights of the wise (1.2b)
- Teach people to live disciplined and successful lives (1.3a)
- Help them odd what os right, just, and fair (3.b)
- Knowledge and discernment to the young (4.2)
More to come.
